Takuya Tasso, Governor of Iwate, will visit Switzerland and France from October 16th to 22nd to have a dialogue about the ILC and to publicize Iwate’s tourism industry.
In Switzerland, he will visit CERN in Geneva, and will meet with Lyn Evans, the head of the Linear Collider Collaboration (the international group of researchers pushing forth the ILC project). He will talk about how Iwate has been preparing for the project, and reaffirm their cooperative relationship towards realizing the ILC.

At his regularly scheduled press conference on October 1st, Governor Tasso vowed, “I will convey how Iwate and the rest of Japan are coming together as one to realize the ILC project. In Paris, I’d also like to showcase an ‘Iwate within Japan.’”
